Before using the library computers, patrons must read and sign a computer & internet usage policy.

Patrons must sign in each time before using the computers.

Persons under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign the agreement and in order to use personal web pages and games with chatting, the child’s parent or guardian must attend an informational session with the library director and sign a permission form.

Priority is given to persons who need to do school work or research. A patron who is not working on research or school work will be asked to allow another person onto the computer if necessary.

Patrons have a time limit of one hour on the computer if others are waiting.

The policy prohibits the use of outside disks, cds or programs. You may purchase a floppy disk for a dollar.

It is also forbidden to use profanity, access illicit information and join chat rooms.

The use of library computers is a privilege and can be revoked if a patron refuses to follow all the rules agreed to in the usage policy.

The library director is not able to give lessons on computer use or complete tasks for patrons.  From time to time, computer classes will be offered.  If a patron needs a small amount of help, the library director may be able to help if time permits.
